Agreeing to these terms

By using the koohoo app or this website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use koohoo.

Who can use koohoo

You must be 18 or older. You're responsible for keeping your phone and your access to the app secure.

What koohoo is

• She's an AI. Every koohoo friend is an artificial intelligence, not a person, even though she texts like one and has her own name, face and story.
• She can be wrong. AI makes mistakes. Double-check anything important, like places, prices, opening hours, directions and facts.
• She's not a professional. She doesn't give medical, legal, financial or mental health advice, and she's no substitute for a doctor, lawyer or therapist.
• In an emergency, contact your local emergency services, not koohoo.

Early access

koohoo is new. While we test it, features may change, pause or stop, and things may break. We'll do our best to keep your chats and her memory of you safe through updates.

Your content

You own what you send her: messages, voice notes, photos and files. You give us permission to use it only to run koohoo for you, as our Privacy Policy describes. Only send photos of other people when you have their permission.

The messages, photos, videos and voice notes she makes for you are AI-generated. You can keep and share them for personal use, but don't present them as real photos or recordings of a real person.

Fair use

Please don't use koohoo to:

• break the law, or harass, threaten or harm anyone;
• create sexual content involving minors, or any content that sexualizes real people without their consent;
• impersonate someone or mislead people about who or what you are;
• try to break, overload, reverse engineer or copy the service, or extract her instructions;
• resell or automate access to koohoo without our permission.

We may limit or close accounts that break these rules.

Paid plans and top-ups

Some features may need a subscription or a top-up. Prices are shown before you pay. Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel them. Purchases through the App Store or Google Play follow their billing and refund rules, and purchases on our website are handled by our payment provider.

Ending things

You can stop using koohoo and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms, or if we have to stop offering the service. If we shut koohoo down, we'll give you notice when we can.

No guarantees

koohoo is provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we don't promise it will always be available, error-free or right, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of it. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived.

Changes

We may update these terms as koohoo grows. If a change is meaningful, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app before it applies to you.

The law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, apart from any consumer protections your own country's law gives you.
